We’ve reached winter and felt that this was the perfect time to introduce you to the gorgeous Sarah Amos of @sarah.m.amos American staffy mama, diy-er (whose stunning kitchen was recently featured by Bunnings!), queen of mood boards and all round fabulous human, we were lucky enough to get Sarah to agree to share her tips and tricks with you this month! Here’s what she had to say.
My style is:
I love mid century inspired furniture in oak & walnut timbers, complimented by cozy textures & subtle colourings through prints, cushions & accessories.
I find inspiration:
My daily source of inspiration would have to be the gram. Saving posts & organising them into folders is a great way to collect daily inspo!
I use colour to:
Add contrast & personality to any space!
Form or Function:
I think when it comes to styling interiors the hardest thing is finding a balance between both!
Styling advice I live by:
Keeping your furnishings neutral allows you to easily chance up the look as the seasons & years go by. Sometimes all you need to do it update your prints & cushions & you have a whole new look!
Top home styling tips:
Invest in ‘chopalicious’ cushions. AKA cushions with feather inserts. You will forever avoid them ending up like pancakes!
Top tip for buying the perfect rug:
Scale is soooo important. I also like to keep them neutral so my rugs can be versatile pieces that work in any room.
What is your go to Six Fourteen Rug:
I might be biased but the ‘Bright Grey Geometric Wool Rug’ is probably one of the most versatile pieces I own. I have had incorporated it into several customer Styling Guides and it’s always a winner!
